Offline to Online, KRUSH Launch Party
Luna: I clearly remember the first KRUSH Party on July 8th. The atmosphere was electric, but unfortunately, I couldn't find my love of life that night. Sad, but still hopeful, I opened KRUSH and started looking for my love of life. Monday morning, I remember clearly seeing DH’s profile.
DH: Yeah. I was on a business trip to Germany when the KRUSH event happened. I was really sad because I thought that it would be the chance for me to find the love of my life. So I was checking through KRUSH, feeling FOMO about the party, and then Luna, my girlfriend, popped up.
Luna: Potentially girlfriend back then.
DH: I mean, now you're my girlfriend. Please. Okay. Soon to be my girlfriend at that time popped up. The profile was very impressive and very attractive, frankly speaking. So, I remember I gave her five stars.
Luna: I remember all his pictures were very clear. He had a headshot face and a full picture looking like a really tall basketball player. I think he was trying to ensure that he truly was six one because I was doubting that he probably rounded up his height. And he too was an EDM lover, foodie, and traveler - someone who has lived in multiple different countries before coming to New York. And I think I immediately found a lot of things in common and was looking forward to talking more with him, but I didn't want to make the first move.
The First Move: A Dance of Texts
KRUSH: Who made the first move?
DH: Well, I sent the first message, breaking the ice by asking Luna about her weekend. To my delight, our conversation flowed effortlessly, and we shared so many things, more than I could have imagined.
Luna: Well, who made the first move to meet up?
DH: Yeah, it was Luna.
Luna: The upcoming weekend, I was pretty sure that DH wanted to meet up, but he was very considerate of my other plans that weekend, and he was hesitant to ask. So, I asked him out if he would like to come to a jazz concert with me on a Saturday night.
From Germany to New Jersey and to New York for Love
DH: And then before the night happened, my business trip ended earlier than it was planned. And I had nothing to do on Thursday. So, I asked her if she wants to grab dinner with me, and then she said yes! As soon as I landed at the airport, I went home, dressed up, and drove all the way down to Long Island City, New York, from Fort Lee, New Jersey. We met up and had a great dinner. And I was expecting to have boba with her, but she insists on having beer at a brewery.
Luna: I mean, given that we already had plans to meet up on Saturday, I figured that I was excited that he wanted to see me sooner. I took it as a good signal. And then in my head, I was like, why not? If this dinner on Thursday goes well, we have our second day guaranteed. And worst-case scenario, I can cancel the Saturday dinner. But I think it was one of the greatest decisions that I made to say yes to having dinner on Thursday, and the rest is history.
